CONGRATULATIONS to the top three winners of the Joe Holubeck Memorial tournament held on October 25, 2020 at St Clair Lanes.
Paulos said the bowling area will include two 'VIP lanes' that can be reserved for bowling parties. The second phase of the casino also will usher in the May opening of a 400-square-foot stage with an entertainment lounge, with lighting and sound that will feature local and regional live entertainment. About the PBT
The Pittsburgh Tournament Bowlers’ Association (PTBA) was introduced to Pittsburgh bowlers in 1986. The name was changed in 2006 to The Pittsburgh Bowlers’ Tour, but the basic concept has remained true: Give local bowlers tournaments that are close to home.
Pittsburgh Bowlers’ Tour has NEVER charged any dues. Since it began, bowlers have come to compete in the tournaments from the North into Canada and west of the Mississippi.
Our tournaments are open to all bowlers with a USBC certified average, or a non-sanctioned verifiable league average. Most tournaments are handicap events, with the handicap based on 80% of 220. We also run events with unique formats throughout the year. Give it a shot. Who knows, you may be able to leave with a 1st place prize of $500 or even $1,000.

To secure your spot in-advance, go to our Register & Pay Online page and complete our user-friendly registration form and make a safe-and-secure online payment via PayPal. If you have a PayPal account, you can pay using the existing funds in your PayPal account or with the credit/debit card connected to your PayPal account. If you don’t have a PayPal account, you can use our PayPal Express payment gateway to manually enter any accepted credit/debit card. Either way, your transaction and your transaction details are protected, and you are ready to show up & bowl.
Register and Pay OnlineThe Ground Rules
Most of our PBT tournaments guarantee $500 for First Place. We have a couple that guarantee $1,000.
All of the PBT tournaments are either Scratch or Handicap events. Your handicap is calculated as 80% of 220, with a max of 50 pins per game. Bowlers carrying a verifiable average of 220 and above will receive “0” pins handicap. Bowlers with non-verifiable averages will bowl SCRATCH.
Unless stated otherwise, a PBT tournament will consist of 3 squads bowled in one day. Squad times are typically 9:00AM, 11:00AM, & 1:00PM. Qualifying pins are NOT carried over into the finals. The format for these One-Day, 3-squad tournaments is as follows:
- The entry fee for the 9:00AM squad is $45. 1-in-3 advance to the finals; a maximum of 8 Finalists in this squad will get a 1st round bye. Cashing Ratio: 1 in 3.
- The entry fee for the 11:00AM squad is $45. 1 in 5 qualify for the finals, with a maximum of 8 bowlers advancing to the Finals. High Qualifier will receive a 1st round bye. Cashing Ratio: 1 in 5.
- The entry fee for 1:00pm squad is a low, low $20, if you paid for both the 9:00AM squad and the 11:00AM squad. Otherwise, the entry fee for the 1:00PM squad is $45. 1 in 5 qualify for the finals with maximum of 8 bowlers advancing to the Finals. High Qualifier will receive 1st round bye. Cashing Ratio: 1 in 5.
For these one-day tournaments with 3 squads, you can bowl all 3 squads for an incredible $110!!
FINALS are bowled in the Eliminator format – finalists will bowl one game each round, with approximately 1/2 the field advancing each round.
The highest score possible, including your handicap, is 300.
